My major writing credits (apart from the novel, of course) include:
- ¤ A short story published in First Proof: The Penguin Book of New Writing from India 4 (Penguin Books, 2008)
- ¤ A short story Sororicide published in Stories at the Coffee table (Caferati, 2007)
Other writing credits include the appearance of my short stories in magazines and newspapers like Femina, The Statesman and Hindustan Times, and several webzines such as Clockwise Cat, Spoiled Ink, Burst, The Battered Suitcase, Poor Mojo’s Almanac(k), Sulekha, Chowk, Zine5, Brown Critique, among others.
The kind of writing that engages me is best expressed by the conventional definition of literature—realistic writing that presents a permanent or universal idea of the human condition. Though short stories allow only a teasing glimpse of their subject, I have included a selection of my published short stories because a glimpse is what I can offer on this medium.
